Day 1,

Saturday

Istanbul – Bishkek

Flight to Bishkek from Istanbul by Turkish Airlines flight TK346, departure at 18:10, arrival at 02:15 on the next day.

Day 2, Sunday

Bishkek – Ala Archa – Bishkek

130 km / 2h

Our guide will meet you at the Bishkek airport and transfer to the hotel. After rest and breakfast transfer to Ala Archa National Park, walk to the waterfall. Lunch – packed lunches. Return to Bishkek.

Short visit of Bishkek: Visit of the Manas statue – the main national hero of the Kyrgyz people, the State History Museum and walking tour through the main square “Ala-Too” to admire the ceremony of change of the Guard of honor, of the statue of Kurmanzhan Datka. Free time.

Bishkek: 850 m above the sea level

Day 3, Monday

Bishkek – Konorchek Canyon – Kyzart

270 km/4-5h

This morning we will head to the Burana tower (the old minaret) near Tokmok city. Excursion on site. Transfer to the Konorchek canyons, walk for 3 hours to the valley of Chateux. (Extraordinary red dust at the base of the sandstone) After drive towards  Kyzart  village. Home stay accommodation and dinner.

Day 4, Tuesday

Kyzart Village– Kilemche Jailoo

14 km on foot/5-6h

After breakfast meet the team that will accompany you for the next few days. One day spent hiking through the Tian Shan inland. During the hike, we discover magnificent views of the pasture of Tuz Ashuu. Lunch picnic provided this morning. At the bottom of the Tuz Achuu peak we turn left and continue towards Kilemche pastures.

The name Kilemche means “like a carpet”, and really this place gives us a picture of a green carpet covered by flowers. Night and dinner at the  yurt camp.

Day 5, Wednesday

Kilemche – Jaman Echki Jailoo

18km on foot / 6-7h

After breakfast in Kilemche, we head to the Jalgyz Karagai pass (3300 m). The morning climb offers a magnificent view of Kiliman pastures, and the pass itself is rocky and exciting. From the pass, Song-Kol Lake is still far, but as closer we get, as bigger they become. Night and dinner in the pasture of Jaman Echki.

Elevations change on foot: 300 m

Day 6, Thursday

Jaman Echki – Kochkor – Bishkek

360 km / 6-7h

After breakfast, walk for 2 hours, then transfer to Bishkek 11h drive via Kochkor to Bishkek. In Kochkor we will visit  crafts workshop where we can fins varieties of handicraft items. Lunch on the way. Continue our way to Bishkek.

Elevations change : 2150 m

Day 7, Friday

Bishkek – Osh – Fergana

In the early morning transfer to the airport to take the daily flight to Osh: The proposed flight ZM193 by Pegasus Asia, from Bishkek to Osh, departure at 07:35, arrival at 08:10.

Arrival in Fergana and installation in the hotel. Visit of Fergana: Independence square, Al-Fergani park, regional theatre, ancient residence of general Skobelev.

Dinner in the hotel. Accommodation in the hotel.

Day 8, Saturday

Fergana – Margilan – Richtan – Kokand – Tashkent

Breakfast in the hotel.

Visit Marghilan with Yodgorlik Silk Factory where you could see a hand-made natural silk production process.

Rishtan with the workshop of famous ceramist Rustam Usmanov. Short tea in his house.

Kokand with the palace of Khudoyar Khan (ancient palace of last Khan).

Departure from Kokand to Tashkent, via evening speed train #059 Uzbekiston,  departure at 16:50, arrival at 20:45. Upon arrival transfer to the Hotel, dinner, accommodation in the hotel.

Day 9, Sunday

Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva

Breakfast in the hotel.

Walking tour to Alisher Navoi Ballet and Opera House, Independence square, The Subway. Lunch in local restaurant. Visits of Friday Mosque and Kaffol Shoshi Mausoleum, Kukeldash Madrasah, Museum of Decorative Arts.

Transfer to the airport for evening flight HY1057 from Tashkent to Urgench, departure at 18:20, arrival at 20:00.

Day 10, Monday

Khiva – Urgench – Bukhara

Breakfast in the hotel.

Sightseeing in Khiva: Mukhammad Amin Khan and Kalta Minor, Kunya-Ark (ancient fortress), Mukhammad Rakhim Khan Madrasa, Said Allaoutdin Mausoleum, Jami Mosque with 212 wooden columns, Tash Khauli – the second residence of khans of Khiva, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Islam-Khodja ensemble, local bazaar, wood carvers workshops.

Lunch in local chaykhana during the visits.

Transfer to the Urgench airport for evening flight HY1058 to Bukhara, departure at 21:10, arrival at 22:10.

Sightseeing in Bukhara: The Ark Citadel, Bolo-Khaouz Mosque, Ismail Samani Mausoleum, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, Job source, Magok-Attor Mosque, Trade Dome Toki-Sarafon (Dome of the Moneychangers), Toki-Zargaron (Dome of the jewellers) and Toki-Tilpak Furushon (Dome of the headgear Sellers), Chor Minor Madrassah, Poi Kalyan complex.

Day 12, Wednesday

Bukhara

Breakfast in the hotel.

Sightseeing: Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble including Nadir-Divan-Beghi Madrasah, Kukeldash Madrasah and Nadir-Divan-Beghi khanaka, then visit Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir. Continue to Mausoleum of Bakhouddin Naqshbandi.

Return to Bukhara.

Day 13, Thursday

Bukhara – Samarkand

Breakfast in the hotel.

Departure to Samarkand by road (265 km, aprox. 3.5 hours). Upon arrival to Samarkand lunch in local restaurant, accommodation in the hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing tour in Samarkand begins with visit of the Gur Amir Mausoleum, the beautifully tiled resting place of Tamerlane and his sons, the tomb of Tamerlane, great conqueror and the main architect of Samarkand, then, visit of the legendary Registan Square.

Day 14, Friday

Samarkand

Breakfast in the hotel.

Excursion to Bibi Khanym, ones the biggest Mosque in Central Asia, it was erected by Tamerlane after his victorious Indian campaign in 1399. After, the walk to orient bazaar Siab, nearby to Bibi Khanym. Continue to the Shakhi Zinda Necropolis, where as believes, the cousin of the Prophet Mohammed, Qusamibn Abbas, is entombed. Next visit – the Afrosiab Museum.

Day 15, Saturday

Samarkand – Tashkent

Breakfast in the hotel.

Visit of the Ulugh Beg Observatory, named for one of the world’s greatest astronomers. Next visits – Tomb of Saint Daniel, Samarkand Silk Paper Factory. Samarkand was one and only paper manufacturing center at the whole Middle East during the VIII and first half part of IX century. Lunch at Silk Paper Factory site.

Departure from Samarkand to Tashkent by evening high-speed train #761 Afrosiyob, departure at 17:00, arrival at 19:10.

On arrival transfer and dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 16, Sunday

Tashkent

Transfer to the airport for international flight from Tashkent to Istanbul, via Turkish Airlines flight TK371, departure at 02:45, arrival at 06:00.
